Again, the info is from www.starcraft2.com
unit:
Phoenix:
the phoenix is a swift and deadly spacecraft that is rapidly replacing the older scouts and corsairs in the role of fighter for the protoss. Phoenix patrols are a common sight on the outer rim of protoss territory, where they sweep deep space for alien threats. The twin ion blaster armament of a phoenix is highly suited to air-to-air combat and can also be used for strafing light ground targets.
Building:
Stargate:
The warships of the protoss fleet require a much stronger warp link in order to materialize than a standard gateway can provide. The immense stargate is capable of calling ships from high orbit or across immense distances to appear on a planet surface. The construction of one or more stargates at a protoss base is a sure sign that it has become a major staging point for an offensive. This excerpt from the after-action report of Flight Sergeant Aaron Keebler helps underline the rapidity with which the protoss can switch their stance.

Protoss units and buildings!
All Information collected from the official Starcraft 2 website!
Units:
Zealot:
For over a thousand years the Templar caste of the protoss have defended their people from threats both internal and external, dedicating their long lives to the pursuit of martial perfection. Zealots are peerless templar warriors who have yet to achieve the uppermost ranks of the Khala. Ever eager for battle, zealots train constantly to attune themselves more closely to the Khala's disciplines and prove themselves worthy of advancement. They exemplify the unbridled ferocity of the protoss at war.
Immortal:
Before the loss of Aiur, veteran protoss warriors who had been crippled in battle could volunteer to continue their service by being transplanted into dragoon exoskeletons. Now the dragoons of the past are all but gone. The sacred shrine that was dedicated to the creation of the dragoons was infested by the zerg and lost along with the protoss homeworld itself.
Stalker:
The dark templer are a branch of the protoss race that refused to surrender their individuality to the encompassing psionic gestalt of the Khala. In ages past they were exiled from the protoss homeworld of Aiur. They eventually found a new home on the distant planet Shakuras.
Phase Prism:
For thousands of years the protoss have studied the nature of time and space. Through their painstaking studies and experiments protoss researchers have uncovered many of the secrets of the universe. Using psionic manufacturing processes, the protoss have learned how to create a robotic mind whose programming is built into the molecules of an advanced crystal lattice. This "crystal computer" is able to manipulate matter and energy with a precision no ordinary organic mind could comprehend.
Building:
Gateway/Warpgate:
the protoss' ability to manipulate time and space far surpasses the limited understanding of other races. A gateway is a structure capable of opening a spatial rift via which protoss forces can be warped directly from their home territories to the battlefield. A phenomenal amount of energy is required for this operation so, as with all protoss structures, a gateway can only function if it is powered by the psionic matrix formed by a network of pylons or phase prisms.

How will Sc2 be different from Sc1?
How might Starcraft 2 be different from Starcraft 1? is there anything known other then the upgrade from crummy graphics to super uber graphics? is there new races? is there going to be and follow up expansion?
The Answers (All from the Official Starcraft 2 website):
How might Sc2 be different?
StarCraft II will run on a vibrant new 3D-graphics engine that will be capable of rendering beautiful landscapes as well as massive individual units and army sizes.
We're also introducing a number of distinct new units to the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg, and even some of the familiar units that return in StarCraft II will have new tricks up their sleeves, which will give the game its own unique flavor.
In StarCraft II, players will see the return of the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg races. Our goal is to ensure that all the factions in the game play even more distinctly from one another than in the original StarCraft, while still maintaining the fine balance that helped make StarCraft such a classic. We're also introducing a number of new units to each race, as well as modifying some of the familiar units returning in StarCraft II. With these design refinements and the new features we have planned for the single-player and multiplayer elements of the game, StarCraft II will offer a next-generation StarCraft experience.
Is there going to be a follow up?
Our focus has been and will continue to be on developing and refining the core StarCraft II experience, so we haven't really had much time to consider what types of things we would include with an expansion for the game if we were to do one.

In addition, Battle.net will be overhauled with some new and exciting features to enhance online play and competition, while the story-mode campaign will also offer some unique aspects for players who enjoy single-player content. We'll have more details on all these aspects in the months to come.

You Tube movies!
On the website you tube (www.youtube.com) there have been many movies posted that have been known as "Real game footage". This footage i am not yet to know if it is real or not, but most of it was released or leaked before the official announcement, so there is a high chance of it being a fake.
My personal opinion is that its going to have the same game engine as warcraft 3, just with no heros. But again, i do not currently know the real information. Starcraft 2 has been waited on for countless years so there is plenty of room for desperate fans to make fakes to make themselves and others feel better.
that is all for now, come back soon for more updates!
